Choosing a car for DD ti have wrapped?

As title, she wants a 4 seater that will look good wrapped for her new business. Limited budget £6k or under and automatic low tax. Not big, Fiesta or slightly smaller as almost all miles will be in town. But must stand out when wrapped.

An electric car sounds ideal, especially given that towns are all becoming low emissions zones and an older diesel/petrol might not comply with the latest rules.
You'd get a used Leaf for that, or definitely a Renault Zoe.0 -
Are towns all becoming LEZs?

If the wrap is bold enough won't it stand out on any car, and almost disguise the car underneath?!
I'm thinking of the "camouflage" wraps manufacturers use on brand new models, so no one really gets a good look.
Don't forget to notify insurers that it's been wrapped too. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
Pretty much all major towns and cities are, if not already then in the very forseeable future.Manxman_in_exile said:Are towns all becoming LEZs?
For a town based business it would be foolish to think of buying any car now and it not be electric.
A zoe is easily achievable for £6000 and with very low mileage too.
There will be the battery rental of around £70 per month on top for those.
But if they went for a Leaf there is no battery rental on top.0 -
As far as I know the only city with a lez applicable to cars is London all others are currently only applicable to busses0

It's really not far away from happening where I live.Lomast said:As far as I know the only city with a lez applicable to cars is London all others are currently only applicable to busses
As I said before, if buying a car now purely for town work and intending to keep it for a few years, only a mentalist would get something other than an electric one.
Apart from the reduced running costs, it gives a progressive look to a new company.

Surely it depend on the town and where in the country they are?

...A "mentalist"? Are you intentionally trying to be offensive to those unfortunate enough to suffer from mental health problems?

Thanks everyone, I hadn't thought about an electric one trouble is she is in a flat with communal parking and no chance of a charge point. Council is leaseholder so perhaps she can enquire. The town is Grantham in Lincolnshire by the way.0

Leeds was heading that way. Everything ready and would have been up & running in 2020. Then covid hit and emission dropped to the point, that the council dropped the plans despite £20 Million Wasted & said that due to the drop it would never be implemented.BOWFER said:
