Easyjet flight changes

Can anybody help?
We booked flights last year, we werent offered a refund early on. But told we could change the flights for free. So we changed the flights, as we knew we would want to travel again when it was safer to do so. All seemed fine. No cost to us, and so we thought we were just postponing the trip until things got better, Covid wise. But obviously things didn't improve. Because  we had changed flights so easily the first time round, we thought we would move the flight again. But, for the same destination, it was going to cost us quite a bit extra. Being a different time of year, we thought nothing of it, and changed the destination. This added a little to one of the flights. But we thought, so be it. We hadn't realised we were actually losing money, each flight outbound and return had to be booked separately, one wss losing value hugely (but no refund), tge other costing slightly more. We naively thought each flight would be at the value as before. But in reality, as Eastjet don't give any refunds, only taking money if the flight is dearer. The value of the overall return flights had lost a fair amount of money each time we had change them. Easyjet don't directly tell you this at the time. We have just changed, this summers flights, as we thought it isn't realistic and didn't want to go even if it is allowed. Itvis at this point we first realised what had been happening!! We searched, finding a statement of what had been happening financially to our flights and that we had lost hundreds and received nothing. We nolonger had the same value of money and had received nothing!!! Unknowingly we had withered away the value of our flights, yet they state there are no fees!!! Phoned and contacted Easyjet, they had no interest and just said that's what we have done. Unlucky, I'm pretty sure they are making a fortune out of this. Is this allowed? Definitely not fair or the right thing to do. In my mind daylight robbery! We were being loyal and thought naively we were supporting the industry. Now makes me want to never use them again and hope they go bust. Is there anything we can do??
