Photome - the spyhole from the bottom of the door is at 5’ 7” ...same as my height to the top of my head, my eyes are lower.
A couple of websites I've found state that the standard height of a spyhole should be 1650mm
    Door Spyhole (double-glazing-parts-repairs.co.uk)
The spyhole is fitted at a standard height of 1650mm up from the bottom of the door cill and is fitted centrally.
(which is 5ft 4in) which would just about be okay for you.
5’ 7” is far too high for the average female in the UK so I agree that it's been incorrectly fitted.
How did you pay for the door?

I don’t think my original door will be able to be refitted, it was mainly glass with two side windows in the frame work.

If it is mainly glass why do you need a spy hole?

Rhetorical question for a bit of humor - I can think of several valid reasons for a spy hole in a glass door.

I read it as being the original door that was mainly glass.

Obviously clear glass in not normally fitted on a front door, but you all knew that.

A quick google shows it's too high in the opinion of every UK door installer. You do need to be accurate in your measurements however.

I would try to get someone (friend or you anonymously) to feign interest in a new door from this company via email, and "in passing" ask a few questions including what height the spyhole will be.

Then Letter Before Action as it's not reasonably fit for purpose.

Measured ours. 1.5m (just under 5ft) exactly. This seems a practical height for the majority of people.
5' 7" is way too high.
