I’m trying not to think about it! My broker said our bank statements were pretty straight forward, so I’m hoping to hear quite soon.
I’m holding off the solicitors at the minute Incase it comes back as a no!
It’s the DMP and high LTV that worries me.
But will see what happens ….

Hi All, we have had our mortgage agreed this morning subject to the valuation being ok next Thursday.
Happy with how it’s going but very wary that it’s quite quick and easy at the moment.

    Application went in 13/09
sone technical error meant we had to resubmit
    Re Application went in 21/09
asked for additional  information all sent 21/09
    valuation booked in for 7/10
agreed mortgage subject to valuation 29/09

i haven’t noticed any hard searches on my report yet,but not sure when these appear!!

    Congratulations that’s great news!!

It’s also encouraging it didn’t take 4-8 weeks for you like some of the other posts.

I guess the pandemic did add onto wait times

Hopefully things will be much smoother for you as now all the stamp duty holiday is over - that has definitely dragged out our purchase.
  • Application submitted 08/09, Valuation fee paid.

Four weeks in now and still no further forward. Lender keeps asking for more info, which had been provided without delay, application returns to bottom of queue then 5 days later more questions, completely unrelated to the previous questions / answers.

I do not understand why they do not Underwrite the entire case and then request all further info required.

    Fingers crossed 🤞

Altho my application seems like it’s going ok. I’m still very wary. The valuation should be today. And then I was told they will then get the valuation back and look at that by next Friday.
Altho I keep getting told it’s been agreed subject to the valuation I’m still preparing myself for them to ask questions again and possibly more info!
Just seems a little too easy at the minute. However selling and trying to find a house wasn’t easy so maybe we are due some luck!

I had my offer come through today! Over the moon and very shocked But all good 😊 .

  • Ready the comments to process looks like it can vary in time span. Currently waiting for a valuation date and feeling I'm on eggshells. Don't understand why they can't take the home report valuation up here in scotland
  • @Scotfroze they do take home report if it is a house your moving into and not renting out
