Looking for a bit of advice about my Onestream broadband contract if possible please?
I Just got a notification to say my latest bill is ready to view. I usually don't bother to check, but for some reason I did today, and very thankful I did because hidden on the very last page of the PDF was a note to say:
"YOUR CONTRACT IS CHANGING
At Onestream, it's important to us that we bring you the most innovative products and services for you to use. In order to give you the best experience possible, we do occasionally need to review our pricing.
Your regulat payments will increase by £0.89 from your April bill.
If you joined after 1st January, then the price may differ to what is listed above.
For more information and to view the full updated price list, please visit www.onestream.co.uk
Thank you for continuing to choose Onestream."
Just got straight onto them, and they are claiming this is a RPI Increase. Not a change in my contract as per the title of the message. They then went on to say that as a result I don't have the usual rights to leave. I mentioned their adverts and claims plastered all over their website claiming they NEVER increase prices mid-contract. He then came back saying this isn't a price increase. It's a RPI Adjustment.
Can they really get away with that, especially when they advertise no price increases - The whole reason for me signing up to them!
Any advice would be appreciated. At first I was just looking to get them to honor the pricing, but now I do actually want to leave rather than the usual threat to leave as a haggle. I Feel totally misled and really not happy to say I am their customer anymore.
