Great news! Well done you.creek48 said:I won the POPLA appeal! Thank you all for your help.
Please take 5 minutes to copy the decision into 'POPLA DECISIONS' at the top of the forum but (please please please please) add about ten paragraph breaks into the wall of text, and also a link to this thread and a heading saying which PPC you beat because the decision never says that detail.
After that - please come back to this forum once a week to make sure your voice is heard to Government.
CALL TO ACTION TO ALL READERS OF THIS THREAD!What we want you and everyone to do, is come back here (please) every week over the Summer and check for when the Government’s final Consultation gets released.
It will come out 'this Summer', so very soon, but only for 4 weeks.
As said on every thread right now, we NEED people like you to have your say about Government policy re the level of parking charges to be applied next year onwards.
YOU CAN HELP TO MAKE SURE THAT, FROM NEXT YEAR, NO-ONE IN YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES GETS A £100 PCN AGAIN!
NB TO NEW READERS:
The new policy will become law and will also apply in Scotland - so this is a call to action to ALL posters and lurkers!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The new policy will become law and will also apply in Scotland - so this is a call to action to ALL posters and lurkers! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

No problem, and please help us by lending your response to the weight of real people commenting on the upcoming consultation. It is important because last time, the PPCs spammed the 2020 consultations so that (on the BSI one at least, where we could see figures) 950 replies on the final Friday became 4500+ by close of play Sunday night. PPC bots, we guess.
Not sure how the MHCLG propose to avoid that this time but all we can do is encourage real victims to have your say about the level of parking charges.
This is worth doing properly, given the MHCLG has already stated that they intend to cap the lower level at £50 (with 50% discount) and that £100 will not be the norm - we need people to explain why £100 is too much, except in disabled/ambulance bays or for real obstruction of a doorway or gate, for example.
We cannot have the industry whose rogue conduct led to this new law, being allowed to dictate the levels.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
