My flights have been cancelled again 26th may 2021 by Easyjet, i already have an outstanding voucher for £105 left from last year, so when i called to get my money back from this cancelled holiday was told i cannot have money back it will be a voucher again, so after 30 minutes we got to agree they would send me a voucher for £413.88, following night email arrived but it was only for £267.44, back on the phone to them again, turns out the guy had only cancelled the outbound flight, they are sending another voucher for the balance, this now means i have 3 vouchers to use, which total £518.88,  i asked the question can i use them all at once and was told no, only one voucher per booking and you have to pay rest of balance with credit card, this is not on, where not here to keep funding easyjet, and this is still my money not easyjets. And as for extending vouchers there should not be a use by date, as i have said this is still my money, i opted for a voucher because i am a long time user off easyjet and thouht they would be honorable, but not allowing us to use the hole amount is not on, please Martin do some thing about this for all those people that have vouchers with Easyjet. There is a scam going on in front off our faces, i hope this helps other people, i will never again take vouchers, will take the cash next time, what a night mare.

Are you sure the 3rd voucher does not have the same ID as the second?

If not complain that you should have had voucher for the 2 flights as agreed.

You may get some more advice here, but sorry your post is very hard to read.

Perhaps in any of your replies, some paragraphs,  and some breaks to the walls of text. :)

And do not think it is a scam.

Probably too late now but I believe that airlines are obliged to refund in cash when cancelling flights (even if the payment was by voucher), unless the customer agrees to accept a voucher instead, although they usually assert that they have to refund to the original method of payment:

  • How did you originally pay for the holiday ? If it was by voucher then I'm not surprised they are refunding by voucher.

(For the record I requested a refund of  2 flights today & I've been promised a refund back to the card that were used to pay for them)
  • I really hate these Easyjet vouchers!
Definitely worth paying by credit card & requesting a cash refund when your flights get cancelled.
We've got flights which have been cancelled for next month, we then rebooked for late summer instead but we now need to change the flights due to work commitments.
You cannot manage your flights online/via the app or your Easyjet online account.
You choose your new flights on the Easyjet website and when you call customer service (the ONLY way to manage your flights if you've used vouchers) to make the changes, you're then informed that the flights you want are actually a couple hundred pounds more expensive than what you can see online at the same moment in time!
Easyjet admit that the online flights and the customer service team have two different prices...thus you will pay more than what is shown online and you cannot even see the flight prices they are quoting.
It's ridiculous and very frustrating...but I suppose Easyjet needs to claw back cash any way they can.
Have told husband in no uncertain terms to never accept bloody vouchers ever again!
You are completely under the control of the airline and it's very frustrating!
  • Just thought I'd update - received my refund the same day as I posted previously.

  • I’m now going to apparently receive a deadlock letter...anyone else had one of these? What does this mean?   Easyjet didn’t like it this morning when I again requested for my voucher to be changed to a refund. I read somewhere  on Martin’s info that vouchers can be exchanged for a refund up until Sept 21. I took a photo of it but can’t find the link. I would suggest you don’t mention contacting Martin or Rudge Rinder at the Sun.... I was accused of being threatening despite being very polite...very upsetting...they keep putting me on hold, they have cut me off twice...they said they had responded to my email when they haven’t...I have asked them to email me showing me where it says in their terms and conditions vouchers can’t be exchanged for refund and they have refused..
Tui on the other hand didn’t object to a voucher being turned into a refund and did it within 24 hours.. 😊

Not sure if the ones you have are classed as 'disruption vouchers' as such but https://www.easyjet.com/en/policy/disruption-vouchers clearly states:
Vouchers are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Of course it is a 'con'. But that's easyJet for you, now!
One single booking, now turns into three separate new bookings for them. Or you lose the vouchers because they expire.
We learnt our lesson - NEVER, EVER accept a voucher from easyJet. Get the full cash refund, then you can spend it wherever and whenever you please.
And now that easyJet have dropped their carryon bag option there is no differentiator to Wizzair or the others.
Because of this policy, we gave Wizzair a try, and found them ok.
