Been using Rain-X on both our cars for at least 3 years with no problems at all.neilmcl said:
Steer clear of cheap products on your windscreen, particularly something Rain X, as they can make wiper judder and smearing actually worse. One product that does have a very good reputation is Angelwax H2GO.
Get a lovely clean & smear free windscreen.

RainX is great.
RainX washer fluid is bad. Wipers can't clear it quickly so you end up blinded for several seconds, especially in low sum.0
