When I switched phones I made sure all my photos and documents were backed up. I forgot to back up WhatsApp, my notes app and text messages. I lost all of my previous messages and memos. So if there's anything important find a way to back up or take screenshots. Wise after the event 😬1

Reading this thread and looking more closely at my own Moto G5, I now realise that the latest security patch is February 2019.Apparently the manufacturer only provides security support in the form of updates for a 3 year period!I'm sure like many others, I use my phone for online banking from time to time and just wondering if I have increased the risks of "fraud" or being hacked by doing so. I do make sure my apps are always up to date, but is this enough?0

Doshwaster said:I'm a big fan of the Moto phones - cheap, decent features for the price and virtually stock Android. I'm currently using the g7 as my spare phone but the battery now only last a few hours. I was looking to replace it with the g9 but the g10 and g30 (there wasn't a g20 afaik) are out now. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference between them:

G7 has a better screen than G10 / 30 G9 is a better choice

Last year, went from a G5 Plus to a G8 Plus, very pleased with it. The problem with some of the newer models is that the screens are getting bigger and bigger.I like to switch off my phone every night, so when away in the caravan I use an ancient mobile as an alarm clock. I think it has something like a 3" screen, and a slide out keyboard, very sophisticated in the day!David.0

if set on moto then worth tracking the prices history for low points and might be worth waiting

Also you get plenty of opinions on HUKD which is useful to go along side the reviews and specs to pick the best match to your use cases(phones have similar price points but trade off features)0 -
The later Moto phones have a section in settings called Digital Wellbeing ... one of the options is Bedtime Mode - this mutes all notifications for the specified period except for alarms.Jenni x1

wouldn't this be better in the mobiles section (under Phones and TV)
