If you like Moto I went from the G5 to a G8plus which seems much the same but a bit longer. That's as far as my technical knowledge goes!Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.2

My wife's got the G9 Play and says it's really good. The battery lasts a couple of days compared to her previous G5 which needed charging a couple of times a day.1

They've just released the G30.0

Moto G9 plus would be my choice. plenty of memory 128GB, good cameras and Google Pay with NFC0

I'm a big fan of the Moto phones - cheap, decent features for the price and virtually stock Android. I'm currently using the g7 as my spare phone but the battery now only last a few hours. I was looking to replace it with the g9 but the g10 and g30 (there wasn't a g20 afaik) are out now. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference between them:

I got the g8 sim free from Argos a few weeks ago. Very good phone. Takes excellent photos.0

Like essex_girl, i have a moto G5 which I am thinking of changing for a more up to date version.
Is it simply a case of switching the sim and memory cards to the new phone, or do you need to do some sort of backup and restore?
The model suggested by ballyblack would probably be ideal.0 -

Presumably you have a Google account which you are signed up to. In which case you back up the old phone to Google, swap the memory and SIM card and then the new phone asks if you want to restore the stuff from the old phone. It really is easy and plenty of guides available, eg
