Try pressing the ctrl and esc keys at the same time, that will bring up the start menu if it's at all possible on your machine same as a windows key would if you had one.

- First thing I tried on the TV was auto mode ... don’t think it has aspect ratio option - will check on that though.
- Keyboard has a ‘Windows’ key ! (Clearly never used it before on this PC). Gives same result as accessing Start Menu - Comes up with “Fatal Error. Sign off. Will re-build start menu on power up’.
You can’t do anything except power down and no, still no start menu.

You could try reinstalling the w10 image using the DISM command. It won't do any harm and it's better than the sfc command: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-dism-command-line-utility-repair-windows-10-image
