Buy2Let Cars Administration - Wheels4Sure

kunalpatel said:Hi... I have a car from Wheels4Sure and this is my 3rd car lease with them. I had my service booked in for this past Friday, as Wheels4Sure instructed me to take it in for servicing. I found out during this past week they went into administration and when I dropped off my car, I was told they didn't make the payment for servicing (which is part of the contract with Wheels4Sure- they cover servicing costs). I tried to contact them but phone lines were dead... then I called the administration company and the helpline was not helpful at all, so I emailed them and I still have no answer back from them)... I was FORCED to pay for the serving by the dealership in order to get my car back. How do I recover this money? The short but harsh answer is that you probably won't.You need to contact the administrators and make a claim, but don't hold your breath. It will take a long time to resolve, and as an unsecured creditor you will likely get little or nothing.

If the money was meant to be paid after the company was in administration then it may be a different situation for creditors that were owed money before that happened.kunalpatel said:Hi... Can you deduct the cost from your monthly payment or is that taken by DD?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
The payments are made via direct debit so you’ll be unable to adjust the payment.
I am in a similar situation in that tax and servicing are due soon . No response from the administrators yet. It’s a bit of a dilemma as it’s in the contract that services are paid for and without documents , I can’t tax it . I don’t really want to continue paying for a car I can’t tax (so therefore can’t use) or pay for servicing which I’ve already paid for through my monthly direct debit . I hope the administrators make a clear plan for leasees soon or there are going to be a lot of complications thrown up when leases end, or tax and servicing is due .1 -
It's taken by DD each month... i have no control on what is debited.jimjames said:

Of course you do. Cancel the direct debit with your bank and let them chase you for money instead of the other way round.kunalpatel said:

this is not like "wonga" where the outstanding was sold to another company , if it had , then they would have paid for servicing0 -
The OP's contract is with the leasing company, which is still extant. The fact that it is in admin does not change his obligations.blackdog2220 said:

The contracts are still in place ....on the flip side , it’s in the contract that servicing is included in the price ... I’m not sure where this will leave many leasees as it’s an extra cost which is meant to be covered by the agreement. There will be others like the previous poster finding that it’s not going to be easy to get servicing done without clear instructions on who is going to pay and when. There’s only an email address to contact the administrators on and they will be inundated with enquiries. I hope they respond to myself soon as I’ll shortly be stuck with a car which I can’t tax or declare SORN as I have no paperwork .... I hope I won’t be expected to pay for it then....!0
