Ok and? Whether or not I can or should do this isn't the question. I didn't ask for a debate on my plans. It's not a vital piece of info, because you don't actually need to know why I'm selling it or why I'm selling it to my son. You don't need to know my 40 year plan.

Because it wouldn't be very helpful advice to tell you to go and talk to a solicitor about something which is impossible to do?

Ok OP, you asked a question and it's been answered so just go away and do it then.

No but there are plans put in place to build new luxury flats there. If we keep it, we will get more money or value out of the flat in the long run.

  • The OP has asked for advice and isn’t interested in the answer. I feel for the solicitor who will probably explain everything we already have.
A separate fund while on benefits! No doubt hidden from the benefits.
And also the comment about not letting a man treat them like something. Man hater! Go find a feminist forum!

You're right, it has. I just made a promise to myself a number of years back to not let any man with an undeserved ego get away with being rude, but it seems this one is far too obtuse to understand. Thank you some of you for your help.
And I suppose it's equally possible that there are those reading this thread that also made promises to themselves to not let anyone with an undeserved sense of entitlement get away with committing benefit fraud.

Takes all sorts, but may help you understand why you can't expect responses to focus only on the narrow criteria you were hoping for...

I wonder if poor daughter in law knows she is expected to look after mother in law if required.
