I suspect they've lost the will...
Meaning members' posts have been unhelpful?

    Not at all.
But just that they'd received all the answers by the first two pages :-)

I'm joshing - being what'chacallit? I agree, it's disappointing when posters don't come back with a conclusion. They might still do.

I suspect the OP didn't get the answer they wanted: that the deaf and dumber was at fault for not fitting a bigger tank.  I'm thinking there's probably something amiss with the tank setup.  A 210 litre tank is big, and even if it is a megaflo, the 'bubble' is taken into account for the capacity so a 210 does hold 210 litres.  It should recover quickly if the boiler flow is hot enough as has been discussed.

At the end of the day you would have to take it to the small claims court and a judge would have to decide whether it was 'reasonable' for everyone to have a bath at the same time in the morning. They would have to make a random decision probably based on how often they have baths. Could go either way.

@Ibrahim5 how long do you find your tank takes to recover after someone has run a bath?

We don't have baths. One bathtub has been used about 5 times. The other one is brand new. I don't think anyone has ever had a bath in it. That's the problem. You have a setup that you think won't work if everyone uses it at the same time but people generally don't use it at the same time.
  • How about replacing the cylinder with a Thermal store. Thermal store keeps the tank heated all the time and provides very good flow rates.

I love threads like this, people post a question, members take time out of their day to reply then the op doesn't even reply
Well now 5 pages in no reply from OP.

So suggest everyone is wasting their time replying now.

We were all Newbies once. Some of us came back with outcome and thanked people for taking the time to reply, and some never heard from again until next problem?

Probably from their other thread "how do I know which wires are live" ? will not be back?  >:)

There are so many variables. The OP mentions showers and then baths and then showers again. I remember german eco-friendly campsites where you put a Euro in for a shower and got 3 minutes. Some people stand there for half an hour. Some people have red hot showers and some tepid. Some have an eco-friendly rose. Others squirt jets in every direction. Some people have baths filled to the top and others a couple of inches in the bottom. It would need a massive tank to cover almost every eventuality.

    Hi all
Just picked up on this.  Thank you all so much for your comments and suggestions.  We have had a lot to do in the house, including sorting electrical problems and a whole host of other stuff.  I will certainly do some of the things you have suggested over this coming bank holiday weekend.
    Thanks again.
