Virgin - incorrec charges

Hi All
I hope someone can help. I cancelled my Virgin package in Feb when I confirmed 3times that there would be no early cancellation fee as I was within the 2021 fee increase time frame. Ian e now received my final bill and there is an £80 cancellation fee on there.
I have tried to call and sort but either get passed around to teams that cannot help or get through to "collections" who just say they have no record of these discussions and just say their bills are correct. I have asked them.to raise a complaint which they tell me they will do and then cut me off. Can anyone give me advice on what to do next?
Thanks

Were you on a fixed-price deal/contract? The presence of cancellation fees seems to imply that you were. If that was the case then the price change would take force once their promotional period ends. So you didn't need to cancel it if that was the case?
