    Is there such a thing as a site that doesnt need to know my current supplier and usage to give me all tariff's for an area?

    All of them and any of them can do that - just throw in random figures and suppliers and then use your savant powers to decipher the results page.

    How does the bizarrely disparate discounts for direct debit, dual fuel and online management gets compensated for in your scheme? In particular,
    how does EON's FixOnline 5 fare?

    Tier 2 Elec 10.71p, Gas 3.40725p, but then
    DD 6% + DF 2% + OL 17.5% = 25.5% Discount
    so actual pay rate Elec 7.97p, Gas 2.5384p inc VAT.

    The reason for postcode is because not all suppliers can supply all areas,
    and some areas have higher infrastructure costs, which are reflected in the tariff you get.

    What does OL stand for?

    and yes its hardly time consuming to take 25.5% of a price using a calculator, certianly a lot quicker than filling in forms.

    OL = on-line.

    The point being made is that the unit price only tells part of the story.

    Apart from the various discounts, there is the daily charge or Tier 1 allocation to consider some have 500kWh pa others 900kWh pa.

    There are many thousands of permutatations. It takes a minute or so to fill in an on-line form with postcode, annual consumption in kWh and how you want to pay.

    You then get 70 odd tariffs all listed with the terms and conditions for each.
