Virgin Money Credit Card Error and Warning - You may want to check your balances

Hello.
I have just checked my balance on the Virgin Money Credit Card app and my outstanding balance owed was £1700 more than what I was expecting it to be!
Clearly, very stressful and I have just come off to the phone after reporting suspected fraud.
It transpires that this is a Virgin Money fault (not sure why) however I have been reassured that this will be fixed within the next 24 to 48 hours.
Anyone who has a Virgin Money Credit Card, you may want to check your balance.

Everyone should check their balance every few days if not daily to look for unauthorised payments0

Yup my balance was increased by £5k. As you can see in my signature, I am paying off cc debt so was also straight on the phone to them.
I also check my balances daily.(in the hope they come down the more I look)🤣1 -
Did you complain to them? When they admitted it was an error on their part and not mine, I said that I should be compensated for having to call them as no one from Virgin had contacted me to say there had been an error. The balance shown as owing on the app didn't match the actual amount owed. i.e. I owe £5461.95 but the app was showing that I owed £10461.95.born_again said:what is the issue?
It's seems to have been corrected now. At least mine was correct when I checked this morning.

I signed into the Virgin App yesterday and the outstanding owed was showing as £1700 more than what it should have done. In a panic I called Virgin as I could only think that there had been fraudulent activity on my account. It was an error on their part. They couldn't explain why but said that all should be back to normal within 24 hours and as @Naomim has already stated, it was.born_again said:what is the issue?
