LUX AC + (AEBOET 2.4KWh Batteries vs PylonTech)

Hi
About to install a LUX system. However, been told by the supplier that aeboet batteries have better temperature performance and each bank can be individually monitored ./ FW updated.
Would like to hear from folks who have installed the aeboet and their views on it.

My Lux system was installed with 4 Aeboet batteries.  I can't comment on how they compare with Pylontech as I've not had experience of the latter.  One aspect of the specification that has been useful is that they have a DOD of 10% rather than the 20% of the Pylontech - the extra 10% of power has been used on a few occasions when the solar charging during the day has been very poor.
The batteries have an in-built WiFi port which enables the firmware to be updated on line and, as I understand it, can be used to monitor each battery's performance.  I've got the app to do this but I'm stuck when it asks for the username and password.  I will be contacting the installers to see what is rerquired.
So far I'm pleased with the way they have worked.  If you are considering buying a small system and upgrading later, one thing to consider is that whilst the Pylontech are readily available to purchase through eBay etc, I've not found any Aeboet batteries for sale other than through the limited number of installers.

I've not had aoboet batteries, I have pylontech.
Pylontech also do down to 10%, but are roughly half the price and you can't mix and match, so personally,  I'd stick with pylontech.

As I said in my post, I've not had any experience of the Pylontech batteries. There appears to be some differences in the written specifications. Most of the ones I've found list 20% DOD for the 2000b version and 10% for the 2000plus - and then another set of specs says that the two versions are the same. I'm confused.

Pretty sure Pylontechs manufactured from 2019 onwards have 10% DOD.
They have a label at the front which shows the date of manufacture, 2 of mine are dated 2019 and the manual says 10%, the other one is 2017 and it's manual says 20%.
I wouldn't worry too much about updating firmware either. I've never seen firmware listed anywhere or heard anyone say they've attempted it. I can imagine that'll be the same with Aeboets.
There is a cable and diagnostic software available for Pylontechs but firmware is nowhere to be had.  Haven't heard of many issues with the BMS in any case.

Regarding temperature, if your keeping them indoors, Pylontechs will perform at the max charge/discharge rate no problem.
Outdoors, you may need a bit of insulation during the colder months.
Pylontechs can also be individually monitored.

I've always been of the belief that any us2000plus are 10%, this is backed up by this document from midsummer wholesale

Only the 2000b is 20% dod, and for reference,  all of my batteries,  including those from 03/2017 are 2000plus.
Certainly they have all been doing 10%dod for the last year.
Interestingly my 2019 battery had dropped the plus and is just a us2000.

Just noticed it's a pylontech document, not midsummer

    That's interesting.

    Mine are at 98%.
Wonder if it's something to do with the difference in inverters ?? Mine being single and yours a parallel ??
