Clinically Extremely Vulnerable Group shielding letters.

I know if you are in this group you recieved a letter at the start of lockdown to say you must not go in to work. Likewise at the start of the second lockdown another letter was sent out. But on the 2nd lockdown letter it covered you until mid Feb and of course lockdown was then extended. Has anyone in this group recieved a letter to cover the period of this extension?

I got an email the 16th of Feb and the letter followed a few days later.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I received a letter about 2 weeks ago for the extension to the end of the month, I received the email on the day of the announcement.

Thank you for the replies. Son is getting hassle almost daily from work as he has not yet got a letter to cover the extension.  He has spoken to the GP practice but they say they can do nothing as they are not the ones who send out the letters. So annoying.

Might be worth chasing your GP up to see if there is anything stuck in the system of that they can see from their end, I know they don't send the letters out, but they might have access to certain data. Ultimately if you received the letter for the December 30th shielding, then the extension is referred to in Government pages, I thought this would suffice, as no body who has been advised to shield has been removed from it.

If he didn't get an email or letter he may not need to shield.
The list was revamped and lots of people removed and lots more added.

Thank you for the replies. He will still be on the list as he has multiple issues  which he wil have for life and they are covered by the list and the doctors have confirmed he should have had the letter.  However they cant say why he has not ( they just assumed lost in the post which does not help) but they say they cant advise any further. They cant even say who sends the letters out, they say it is not them that decide who is on the shielding list and who is not. Apparently you can be put on the list by any of the health proffessionals you have been seeing and he has seen several over the last few years. The GPs surgery are no help at all.
Last time he also got a text message but nothing this time.

I wasn't on the original list, I only got put on in December after speaking to my GP, as I passed under the radar, so spoke to them regarding my medical history to help get prioritised for the Vaccinations.
