Hi I have popped Matts, the EON rep name on here. He should get back in touch to help.glossopgirl said:Hello,
was wondering if the E.ON rep could help me. I am having so many problem's with e.on at the moment. I have been
with e.on for many years but as soon as i decide to open an account, read my own meter's and pay my bill's online
everything goes pear shaped. I paid my gas and electric for December and i have the receipt's to prove it. I have never
owed them any money, but the next thing i get an email saying i owe my gas bill, i have sent emails and copies of my
receipt's but the replies i get are quite arrogant and ignorant, they insist i owe this money. On my account it say's my
next meter reading's will be in May while at the same time they are asking me to read my electric meter now, no mention
of my gas reading, my gas and electric need to be read this month[March] but when i go on my account there are no
boxes for my gas reading only one's for the electric,God know's what they are doing, I need to read my meter's NOW.
They have messed my account up, I have sent emails to everybody and anybody at eon and all i get back are senseless
replies. I will not be paying a bill that has already been paid,i would rather go to court and sort it all out there.
I am sorry if i sound nasty but all they do is send crackpot emails threatening me with Debt collector's and goodness
know's what else. I will be 75 in a few week's and have to look after my husband who has heart failure, we do not need
this senseless and useless carry on. Please can somebody help as i have tried everything. Is this all the thank's people
get for being good customer's.
Many thank's
Sheila.

I have switched energy companies many times over the years and am a great believer in doing so. Perhaps until now.
Just switched from BG to EON for a ridiculous saving of £2 month. Big mistake.
All I'm trying to do is put in first meter reading. A skill I acquired many, many years ago.
I'm not going to bore you with the details. Just say that after many convuleted routes I still can't get the electricity reading to be accepted. By the way I'm not prepared to accept a 50 minute wait on the phone.
I used the chat line which was not answered at all. I tried that again today from the app, and AFTER I had sent the full message a display on the system said that it was changing and to go elsewhere.
The whole system seems to contradict it's self. One half seems to be telling me all is well, the other half says send meter readings.
The general message seems to be IF you haven't sent them please do so!
Somewhere further down this forum an EON rep seems to say that the readings might not be needed until up to 7 days after transfer???
In which case why not ask for them WHEN they are needed? Or store them in advance until then.
I'm not looking forward to the next 12 months. No I think that can be 11 months.
Meanwhile if an EON rep does happen to read this, please either resolve or let me go back to BG.0 -
Good morning Sheila, apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I'm sorry as well to hear of the problems you've had with this.glossopgirl said:Hello,

To me it sounds like you have the gas and electricity under different account numbers on our system. This is why you only have the option of entering electricity readings online. It's likely that the payment you made for the gas bill went onto your electricity account and you have a credit on there.
If this is the case then next time you speak with us you can ask for them to be merged together, and then any balances transferred from one account to the other. I'll also include some instructions as to how you can merge them online your end;
- Login to your online account (which will be just electricity)
- Click 'Manage your details'
- You should see a box to 'add another account'
- Enter your gas account no (or it may be pre-populated)
- Click 'Save' to confirm
- Log out, and then when you log back in you should see both fuels. Or when you first login there may be two boxes allowing you to select which account you wish to view
It's worth following the above instructions on a PC/Laptop rather than on a phone.
You won't be able to transfer the balance online but can at least check the balance of your electricity account to confirm if my suspicions are correct (note in the top right of the landing page will show the balance). If so please get in touch with us over the phone or live chat so we can tidy up the rest of it. Any further queries feel free to get back to me on this thread or send a private message on here.
