Can someone help me!
I’m travelling to Hollywood in next week; I’ve had a driving conviction, for driving without a license and insurance. I had a 2 months ban and got fined £150. This was when I was 18, I’m now 20. I also don’t have visa.
I’m not gona get a refund on my ticket, and its too late to get a visa now. Do u think I could get there ok?
I know you have to sign a form on tEplane that asks if you have ahd convictions, shall I tick yes, or no What could you recommend for me
Thanksin advance :money:

Tick NO.
You will be telling the truth. The question on the form is about crimes of moral turpitude, and drug related crimes, not crimes in general.
Most motoring offences are not crimes involving moral turpitude - even drunk driving.0 -
But the immigration officer may send you back.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

@123money, I assume you're planning to travel under the Visa Waiver Program and the form you're referring to is I-94W. In that case, have a look at the following URL and read the second paragraph from the top on the back page in part B. You'll find it doesn't mention anything about driving convictions...0

The key question is: were you arrested? Anyone who has ever been arrested MUST get a visa.
I understand that the US consulate in Belfast issues visas more rapidly than the embassy in London.0 -
Not true, Voyager2002 - whilst some US Embassy websites peddle that line, it's an oversimplification. It's arrested (yes) or convicted for an offence or crime involving moral turpitude or a violation relating to a controlled substance (plus a few other things) - direct quote from visa waiver application form.
I would guess the embassies justify their stance on the fact that most people wouldn't know what moral turpitude was if it turned round and bit them, therefore let us decide, and BTW that will be $100.0 -

Personally i think its too ate to worry about it, just get on the plane and go and have a great time just say no on your form. If the immagration guy does know about it when you arrive and he asks something specific relating to it then own up otherwise keep quiet and jusst enjoy your holiday. They are looking for drug offenses terrorism offences etc not some stupid kid thing that may of happened some years back. If you go trying to get a visa it will be a headache i know someone who done this for a similar offence he had to do lots of paperwork and visit the US embassy for an interview was a nightmare and they werent really interested in the offence he done but as he owned up they made sure they went through the routine. If you had 3 months to go throug all this then ok but you dont.. just be sensible at the airport do not be rude rowdy or drunk and all will be fine i am sure.:hello: Lets all save a £ or two, lets all earn a £ or two, and lets all enjoy spending that £ or two wisely.
