I'm going to use Barclays latest card and try and lower a few percent over next year or two.
Which is offered as part of their Forward Card.
I honestly have No need for immediate large Limits, rbs/amazon cards have those.
What's the point of that when you already have 3 (or is it more now?) cards with relatively low interest rates already?
  • Why would interest rates matter when you'll be paying off in full every month anyway? Leaving balances is the way to get you back into the debt problems you had before

Maybe, I think it was spending and one or two changes in circumstances.
Life events as some providers call them.

And what makes you think "spending" won't happen again? Particularly as you're already entertaining the idea of carrying a balance.

Immediate concerns are Life Events, rather random and often unexpected.
Recent Lendable loan seems to be cost saving.
In theory my spending is being curbed continuously.
I've never been a big one off's type spender, more often sporadic spends once or twice every few years.
    thanks.

  • Keep in mind that firms have a habit of increasing APR if you are not paying much off (there are topics on this forum about just that) so I wouldn't risk holding balances. To be honest, I'd keep 2-3 cards and keep paying them off for a while so you might be in a good position to get a BT card in the future rather than having 4 or however many you are adding with low limits

Thanks, immediate concerns are 618 on rbs though 0% up to 15 months.
I haven't started my new job until next week, though plan to make decent payments to rbs as priority.
Only other recent spend is <50 via Amazon -0% up to 2-3 months.
That shall be re paid in full once 1st statement is produced.
I also have Paypal credit, though 0% 12 mths ->1100 pounds -I plan to either make additional re payments over 99 requests or pay in full if required.
2021 can then be home purchases only, though have done rather well avoiding Cards for home this year.

New Barclaycard dropped in door yesterday, it's been almost 10 years.
Maybe fuel maybe something else, no immediate plans to use.

  • How many cards do you have now? How much credit limit available?
What is your total debt and interest?
Do you really need all of them? Worth a consideration

At the minute it seems like @Dandytf f is applying for every credit card available in the UK and also every overdraft available on every account they have, not to mention a consolidation loan for the debts they currently have.

Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.
