EMA airport fine for stopping at double yellow line - court date in near future.

Good Evening, No update except the fact that I received acknowledgement email from C. the Date of hearing is 2nd June. Anything I should go thorough? Bit rusty after few weeks.

1.  Make sure you have supplied your phone number by email as the Court Directions required, as we assume it's a phone hearing.

2.  Expect VCS' rep to say that ''the Claimant didn't receive the D's witness statement/evidence''.  Be absolutely ready to forward the Judge your proof of the email you sent (hopefully you emailed VCS and the Court at the same time, cc'd into the same email, which will expose the sneaky tactic as untrue?).

Supplied just now. also sent to ELMS. (it should have been 3-7 days prior to the hearing date)

I've not read back through the thread, but if you've got a telephone hearing, that's not going to work. If it's a video hearing, and you're using your laptop for that, you're going to need to work out how to show the video while still in video contact with the Judge and Claimant rep. I'm sure there are ways, but it's beyond my immediate tech horizon.

I requested a video hearing earlier this morning. I received acknowledgement that it would be at 3pm. No call received since. patiently waiting.

Do you have any contact details that you can call and check? You need to be proactive about this - don't assume the court is infallible. (There was a thread here recently where the defendant had provided their details to the court, they received no call for the hearing, and ended up with a default loss due to them not attending. They now have the pain of having to unwind it all ... all because the court failed).

Keep the line open or whatever method is being used.. We had a case recently where a poster wasn't contacted on time and after a while assumed it was over, but the hearing went ahead later that day without them, and they lost because they weren't on the call.

Definitely call the court and ask what is happeneing if you haven't already.

I rang the court and was told that judge has taken some decision.  Either the C did not request the communication method or may email to request for a video call instead of a phone call. any other suggestions?

Call the court again on Monday and ask them to unpick what they said because I cannot understand it!  What decision was taken?  Surely the court knows if the claimant requested a particular form of communication and if so why were you not informed?
