Just put £50 a month into a savings account and keep a list of local contractors to call when needed.  Have you someone who does an annual service for you ?

Never had any annual cover for my oil boiler. Just put money away as advised.

If you really want cover call all the local suppliers. They might have their own or able to advise.

Are you new to oil? If not, who does your servicing?
As advised, a releationship with a decent local oftec enginer is best, and stick your money into a 'heating' savings account. No breakdowns? There's you holiday paid for. Breakdown? Call your engineer and use the money you've saved.

I have my own"insurance" savings account. £50 month = £600 a year which is money that you have available to spend on sorting stuff out* rather than giving it away to someone else "just in case". You may even be able to get some interest on what you are saving. After a couple or three years you'll have enough to buy a new boiler if neccessary.

    * that stuff could be anything, the washing machine, boiler, plumbing, even the car etc rather than just giving it to a heating company. My fund paid for an new underground water pipe last year (£1300) and a new tumble dryer in 2018 (£250) and there's still a couple of grand in it, whereas I'd not have anything if I'd paid it out for heating insurance.
