Inheritance tax reference number

Hello everyone.
The long dreaded day has finally come and my father has passed away. I am in the process of getting info together, informing what financial institutions I need to, utility companies etc. Losing lots of sleep over it all. I have had a quick look at the HM forms that need filling in. Not started that yet as I need final balances etc. I notice on the form for claiming the residents nil rate band (for the 175000 allowance for the parents house) a box for the inheritance tax reference number. The total of the estate with this additional claim will mean there won't be any inheritance tax to pay. So what do I do about this IHT reference number if I won't need to pay any please? I'll probably have a few more questions as I go, but this one is puzzling me and I want to get it right. Apologies if it sounds a bit stupid.
Many thanks all.
