Agent has messed up price reduction on Right Move

Don’t lose heart, I had an offer accepted on a property 2 weeks ago that had been on the market since October (over 4 months)
It hadn’t been reduced at all in all that time and was right down the listings on Rightmove but as a serious buyer we looked at everything that ticked the boxes for us.We couldn’t believe the house had been on the market for 4 months as we love it but there was obviously something not right for many others.Sometimes it just takes a while for the right buyer to come along. Good luck with your sale.1 -

Going by your original post, both reductions were instigated by you, so if anybody has 'messed up' the outcome, surely it's you as you didn't stipulate a large enough reduction to try to garner some interest?Ultimately my only real reason for this thread was to ask ‘can I get in touch with right move myself to get them to update their system in some way’ and it appears the answer is no - so in which case I’ll just wait and see if I get any new interest at the new lower price. If not then I’ll reduce it further as necessary.0

Yeah i agree with this completely. The only people who are going to be looking at properties added recently are the ones who are just being nosey and aren't really interested in moving.
Anyone who is actually looking to buy will look at every single property no matter when it was added and then setup email notifications for new ones so i can't imagine any serious buyer would miss any property by accident.

On a similar note the property I offered on had been on the market 7 months. Originally 300 then 280 then 260. It was was on at 260 for four months before I offered 250.DIP 09/02/21

We lost our 2nd buyer just after Christmas and had to put the house back on the market again, each time it hasn't shown on Right Move for anyone doing as search "added in the last 24 hours" and shows it has been listed since July 2020. However, the house we were purchasing went straight back on Right Move, at a higher price than we were paying, showing as a new listing in January, when it had really been for sale since August. Have absolutely no idea how they managed that.
Really annoying, and I know where the OP is coming from as we really felt it reduced the number of people seeing our property listing. However, we have managed to find another buyer, and got lots of viewings anyway without the "new" listing.0 -
