Stairs in a bedroom to loft, can room with stairs in still be classed as a bedroom?

Don't get the lenders criteria confused with anything more than being the lender's criteria.
They don't want to call it a bedroom? They don't have to.
    You do? Fill your boots.

Whether it is or not a bedroom is academic. Your bank says it is not and has valued it accordingly. Do you have enough deposit to make the down valuation irrelevant? Or can you find a new mortgage provider who will value it differently.
No and who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ That’s what I’m trying to figure out by asking here 🤣
Is it the norm that for the purpose of a valuation stairs to a “loft space” effectively null and void the bedroom in which they are located?
If so there would be little point applying elsewhere just to pay for yet another valuation to receive the same response.

Or you could just use the valuation as justification for lowering the price.

If there is a bed in the room, it is a bedroom.

🤣 yes and it’s only getting longer with the continuing issues!
Can't wait for the next update. Its a quandary, should I continue reading or wait for the movie to come out?

I think it’ll be a trilogy so personally I’d wait for the movies!

Of course that was our initial reaction but there’s a £27,000 difference and they’re not budging they’re insisting the valuation is wrong.
We’re actually now veering towards walking away as they can’t show us anything to support the value which the sale was agreed at 🙄 so we expect to get the same response from the next survey

If you can't afford it with the down valuation then wave a cheery farewell and start a new search (and new signature to document it).
