Virgin mobile problems on both our phones

Problem 1) Back in February both my wife and I switched from PAYG Virging to the £6 per month 4gb SIM. However, when I changed, the email address to my Virgin account was a dead one, but I thought I had managed to get it changed when I talked to the Virgin customer services person on the phone. I did receive back a confirmation email from them on my new email, but I guess they forgot to change the old one on my account.

Problem 2) My wife got her new SIM setup and we set up a DD payment scheme as instructed. However, the account is not using the DD and is using her debit card which she used to pay her PAYG and it is now saying that she has no credit for this month, so cannot make any calls. We have logged on to her Virgin account and can see the DD set up and can also see the debit card details set up. How do I get this to default to DD rfather than debit card? Should I simply delete the debit card?
