Vodafone & House move. Cancel out of contract and buy new, or move & haggle?

Currently with Vodafone broadband, no issues with service or speeds, but have notice I am paying a bit more than market rates. I came out of contract last year...so shame on me.
I'm about to move house and may have a narrow window between exchange and completion. Vodafone says that to move will take up to 30 days, but no mention that I can find for new connections.
Therefore asking here: faster to cancel & buy new? or faster to just move?...or is there no difference in reality? Would love to know how quickly people get connected as a new customer.
Thanks! Yar185

If you're out of contract, then it doesn't really matter if you cancel/re-buy or ask them to port your service to a new address as Vodafone will sign you up for a new contract at your new address either way. Use it as an opportunity to haggle on a better price, or leave for someone else if a competitor offers a better deal.
The move itself won't take 30 days, you just need to give them 30 days notice that you intend to move. The actual disruption to service should only be a few hours at most as they disconnect your service at your old address and activate it at your new address, assuming everything goes smoothly.

OP have you checked what services and prices you can get at the new place ??Connection time span is going to depend upon what needs to be done and what's in place now .0

Loyalty rarely pays in telecoms .
You are almost certainly better off as a new customer with cashback/voucher offers.
Any particular reason to stick with Vodafone rather than another provider?0
