Are you willing to take a chance that by disconnecting the old battery and replacing with a new one that all will be fine. Modern cars need to be reset when disconnected from the battery, normally a simple procedure but things can and do go wrong. How much to get your car to the dealer for them to do the reset on top of the purchase of a new battery. They've quoted £240 and this will include the labour cost of removing, fitting new and resetting car along with the disposal cost of the old battery, doesn't seem too unreasonable to me.

    No problems at all.
Physically installing a battery is the simple bit. If it's a start/stop system then it will no doubt have a battery management installed and by not registering and coding where necessary I guarantee that the battery won't be used to it's full potential.

It'll be easy to swap out but without registering the battery the onboard BEM system will still think you have the old battery installed and therefore your new one wont be used to it's full capacity.

I wonder if this is the right battery for that car, originally it would've had an OEM battery and I'm not so sure the one you have is a direct replacement. It may be worth asking on a Nissan Qashqui owner's forum to see if it is and whether there are better alternatives for your model.
