Vodaphone double billing error
Hello, I wad charged twice in December 2020 at the beginning and end of the month, the end of December being an early payment for Jan 2021. Vodaphone then charged me again in error at the start of January, realising their mistake they then reduced my bill in February, minus £5 which they charged me. Curious to see what the £5 charge was for, I downloaded my bill to find out the £5 was for VAT.
Can they make me pay the VAT on a payment that was a Vodaphone mistake in the first place?
I know it is only £5, but wondering if this has happened to others and if correct or not?.
Thank you

You shouldn't have to pay for their billing error. Calculate what you should have paid vs what you have actually paid. The extra £5 will most likely be offset again against a future bill, unless you ask them to refund you to your bank account.0
