OFNL is only available at my new property that I will be moving to in a few months. What happens to my existing BT phone and broadband contract ?

You will need to cancel it, if you are in a minimum contract term, there will be early termination charges0

Interesting one, if the builder/developer locked out Openreach and did a sweetheart deal with OFNL, and you stated you want ‘BT’ and ask them to move your service , they won’t be able to, this may get you out of having to pay ETC if you are within a minimum term at your current address.....however you may want to check as chances are if you just ‘cancel’ when in contract ,charges will apply.

Generally, if you can continue with BT at your new address and you can start a new contract with them then they'll usually waive the ETC. However if you choose move to somewhere that they can't, then it's not their fault. In which case you will have broken the contract rather than them.
.
They will then probably end up charging you early termination fees, which usually amounts to the cost of the remainder of the contract.
This is much the same with most suppliersNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
