Contacting Scottish Power without an account number

Can anyone suggest how one can contact Scottish Power without an account number? 

I informed them of my tenant moving in, they promised to send a welcome pack.  My tenant never received one.  She has tried emailing them and calling them, but when she calls, the automated phone services always asks for an account number.  She doesn't know it because they have not yet contacted her with the number.  She moved in 20 Dec and she still doesn't know what her account number is, her tariff.  I tried to ask them (I also have an account with them), but I was told she would have to call.  (I had forgotten about the block to those without account numbers - sheesh.)

I suggest you repost in the correct section "Energy" where you may get more replies.

It's not really your fault, this board is badly organised.

Call 0800 0270072. When asked for an account number just press the # key twice and a list of menu options will be read out.

Thanks for the replies.  I will inform to my tenant about pressing '#' key twice.  I also discovered that they respond to social media messages (ie. Facebook), but not sure yet how affective this is.
