But to be polite, it depends what you want to do. Emails and a bit of browsing, even some basic streaming is possible with 11mbit's, you might even get HD although you'd need to be closer to 11 than 3.
We put up with less than 2mbit/s for years but it did curtail what we could do - even YouTube was difficult, iPlayer kept buffering and downloading a film could take longer than trying to watch it.
If you have several people who all want to get on line at the same time, you want to download or stream videos, especially in HD or you want to participate in on-line gaming then no, it probably isn't. 20-25Mbit's is what you should be aiming for if you can get it. In fact as fast as you can afford if you want to future proof yourself.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
You really need to post this in a more suitable sub-forum, try the ‘techie’ one. This is for energy related questions. As to your question then it’s a bit ‘how long is a piece of string’ 11Mb/ s should be absolutely fine for most things but too slow for others, depends on your actual requirements.0

I'm pretty happy with the (checks online) 450Mb connection I have with Virgin. We often watch multiple 4k streams at the same time without issue. The real bonus is that enormous files and software updates etc download in seconds and on the odd occasion that I have to upload a multiple GB file, the waiting is minimal.0
