Window things to keep my home office cool?

Thanks all. 
Outside canopy probably isn't going to be possible due to access - there's a glass back porch thing underneath it and it's really difficult to reach that window from outside.

No, you can get them which are like a mirror. 

Another benefit of this is no one outside will see you, ahem, 'bird watching' 

Yep, must remember to point that telescope up at the sky once in a while.
