Switching between people in the same house

We are out of contract and paying over the odds for Vodafone broadband so I am steeling myself for a haggling session.  The existing agreement is in my name.

However, my wife just received a flyer offering her cheap broadband because she has a Vodafone mobile. Does anyone know what would happen if she simply tries to take them up on this offer to take over the broadband contract from me in order to get all the "new customer" favouritism?

You can ask but don't be surprised if you get told no, as broadband is address based, not person based.

Anyway you can probably do better than Vodafone anyway.  Look up the deals for new customers on the comparison websites and MSE to get some idea of what to aim for.  See what you can bounce off Vodafone for haggling purposes, but make sure any deals you find are genuine, or at the very least highly plausible - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/broadband-and-tv/cheap-broadband/ - they do check.
