whats the cheapest way to call a mobile in Swaziland

It will cost you the same to call O2 as normal. But it will cost her 99p/min to call UK and £1.49 to receive calls.

I must very strongly recommend she enquires about a local SIM card. There seems to be only the Swazi MTN network (MTN is in several African countries).

If you press services, then pay as you go, there is more information. The exchange rate seems to be about 12 E to the £, so calls to UK around 20p + SPTC charge which is about 30p ie 50p total
You could call a Swazi mobile using cheap calls providers from 5p/min, and if your daughter were to sign up the Swazi number with a callback service, she could make calls to UK for about 11p to 15p/min.
If you have a contract mobile with O2 or T-mobile and have spare inclusive minutes, you could use the service of Simply-Fone to call from those minutes.0 -
Plus make sure her phone is unlocked."...And I gave that man directions, even though I didn't know the way, 'cause that's the kind of guy I am this week." -- Homer Simpson0

Thanks
My daughter is currently in South Africa and hasn't reached swaziland yet.
We have recieved several txt messages , however she has not got our txt messages or calls. any thoughts what the problem might be."Food has replaced sex in my life. Now, even I can't get into my own pants."0 -
don't know; some countries text messages don't seem to be forwarded by or compatible with some networks. I've heard this about New Zealand, but I don't know if that happens for South Africa as well.
One thing I did hear about NZ was peculiar; that incoming messages can be replied to within a time period, but outgoing ones cannot be initiated; that seems unlikely to apply to this case, as that would be your end.
You mean you haven't even managed to ring the phone? Has she got a South African SIM in there by any chance, and you haven't realised? Maybe check the number the messages you received are from.0
