If I google my local sorting office I get a local phone number to contact them directly, why can't you contact yours?greyteam1959 said:custardy said:
Can we get the full story?greyteam1959 said:
Yes along with that of my 6 neighbours.sheramber said:is your address clearly marked?
Who also have the same problem.
The properties are 'live' and on the RM database.
So what is the reason for non delivery? It isn't because its a new build.
have you got delivery points,is there safe access or has something happened?
You can't telephone the local sorting office.0 -
Given you are in the Delivery office at least 2 times a week, how did the conversation to collect your mail come about?greyteam1959 said:
I have no idea what the reason is for non delivery.custardy said:

All the roads / pavements street signs are all fine & have been since the properties were occupied in December.
3 semi detached & all got letter boxes !!
You can't telephone the local sorting office.
Has it not occurred for you or one of your neighbours to ask?
Edit: page refreshed.
So you say can I speak to someone who it is to do with!
Honestly you are in the building and come to a random forum to ask?
Why would you be phoning a building you physically attend every week?0 -
Local numbers have been removed from cards/literature/changed.cajef said:

Some historical numbers are still live but this is the minority.
It was a purposeful move to remove local numbers. Spend a day dealing with the public calling and you will soon realise why.1 -
Not really. Given they are collecting mail and callers offices are running (ridiculously) reduced opening hours then managers should be in the unit whilst callers is open.Hunyani_Flight_825 said:If you want to talk to anyone at our sorting office you need to be there very early in the morning.0 -
Theres nothing weird about new devs. delivery can be patchy at first but a house thats occupied for 3 months and on the Aplus database should be getting a delivery.jon81uk said:How did you know that you need to pick up the mail?
Or did you just one day decide to go to the delivery office and check?
Have you asked to speak to a manger when collecting it?
Have you phoned (03457 740 740) Royal Mail and asked?
Have you complained Contact Us (royalmail.com) ?
Is the new estate only seven houses, or are there other streets, are they getting post?
Have you seen a post person in the area?
I moved into a new build two months ago, the postman for the road knocked and introduced himself (Bob) on the first day.
Im more astounded at not having raised it/queried it/lodged a complaint in those 3 months.0 -
I agree, I'm just confused that the OP has been informed and new to collect their mail from the delivery office but not why. Surely at some point they were told you need to collect your post, so why haven't they asked why or made a proper complaint to central Royal Mail.custardy said:

I've had issues being a new build as the postcode database hasn't spread to some companies, house numbers up to 15 were completed first and still many companies can't find our 29 on the list, its up to date with Royal Mail but just taking a while to get through systems. Fortunately with deliveries many people have brains and the post man worked out where we were as did Domino's Pizza.0 -
Weve been here 14 years, the house 16. Still get the odd issue with sat navs routing people to where the old road used to be a mile away.jon81uk said:

They knocked down a whole load of houses to build ours but retained the road names.1
