Incoming mail, "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" is not ticked, it is in tallmansix's case.

Now got it to work by ticking the box for 'secure password authentication (SPA) - most weird.  Email account now enabled and emails downloaded. 

It's still a mystery as to why NOT doing what the instructions say works... however, I do appreciate all the help here.  Many thanks.
