We've got Karndean in the kitchen, utility and both bathrooms and it's great.  But we still went with engineered oak for the hall, lounge and dining room.  Real wood is warmer than Karndean, and gives a softer feel (OK, not literally softer, but you know what I mean!)

Going slightly against the grain here because this was also fashionable back in the 70's. Used to drive me nuts because the dust from opening doors would blow in and pool under radiators and furniture at the sides of the room along with pet hair so needed frequent sweeping. It can slide further in than it can on wood or carpet.
Working very long days made me not a fan of the stuff to have to keep at it.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

We have it in the heavy wear parts of our bungalow, except for the hallway and utility areas, where there's porcelain tiles. We have a country property and as grit etc can be tracked-in on shoes, it seemed best to keep the entry points virtually bomb-proof. In a town property I'd be happy with LVT in a hallway.

We put LV, roll not tiles, Disney over our kitchen tiles about 18 months ago brilliant. Warm and quite; most importantly it looks clean for days with a sweep.
