In the current climate a locally based firm may not make a difference as a lot of staff are working from home anyway.
One with a decent online portal would be far more beneficial.0 -

Local firms guy my seller is using working from home and hardly goes to his office, the EA did recommend another guy from same solicitor firm but different branch, the cost was £1200 more than average.. I was tempted to use them but on tight budget but would have been lot quicker.0

Premier Property Lawyers were recommended by a neighbour but our experience was horrendous from start to finish.
Our conveyancer was totally inept, communication was non existent and many, many mistakes made during the process. The fancy portal was rarely updated and after many complaints we were assigned a different member of staff (who was better but not by much)
Wouldn’t inflict them on my worst enemy!
My previous solicitor were ok but very difficult to phone but ok with emails.
