  • If anyone needs a solicitor in the Newcastle area, I can recommend mine very highly.

  • Looks nice, but still relies on the human being behind it doing the work and marking that the work is done...
True but any email you send or call you make also gets logged. This is my 2nd time using this company and both purchase and sale will have been completed within 12 weeks. Pricing is within market average and the portal means that im not bothering my conveyancer to get updates which results in a speedy turnaround. Any activity is updated within 12 hours sometimes within 30 minutes. I've always been impressed with this and will continue to use them in the future.

In the current climate a locally based firm may not make a difference as a lot of staff are working from home anyway.

One with a decent online portal would be far more beneficial.

If they are the ones based in Enderby, Leicestershire then it's going to be Premier Property Lawyers or an offshoot.  It is a big firm and some conveyancers are better than others.  There is a mixed bag of reviews.

Local firms guy my seller is using working from home and hardly goes to his office, the EA did recommend another guy from same solicitor firm but different branch, the cost was £1200 more than average.. I was tempted to use them but on tight budget but would have been lot quicker.

We are seasoned house movers as we have relocated numerous times for work so well aware of the complexities of the conveyancing process and had been using the same family solicitor for years prior to her retirement.
Premier Property Lawyers were recommended by a neighbour but our experience was horrendous from start to finish.
Our conveyancer was totally inept, communication was non existent and many, many mistakes made during the process. The fancy portal was rarely updated and after many complaints we were assigned a different member of staff (who was better but not by much)
Wouldn’t inflict them on my worst enemy!

You may have great solicitor but what about rest of the chain? You only need one careless solicitor to mess it up, also lot depends on their assistant if they have good one it will make it lot easier. The one who is doing my sale and purchase never replies back to emails and few weeks later checks her emails and wants further information.
My previous solicitor were ok but very difficult to phone but ok with emails.

I guess just like a local v national conveyancer experiences differ. I've been lucky that both times I've used them the service has been excellent and communication has been daily.
