Conveyancer recommendations?

Hi all,
With hopefully many of you completed now after the rush since the first lockdown, I wondered if any of you could recommend a me a conveyancer based on your recent experience?

Thanks!

  • I would recommend finding recommendations that are local to you. It can speed the process up a lot if you can collect/drop off paperwork instead of having to wait for the post to deliver it.

    ^^^^^ This

  • Our solicitors are online and this really speeds up the process. All documents are uploaded to your own portal where you download and print, you can track progress and see when they email/call the lender, EA and other solicitor. It also has a graph showing progress with regards to each element of the conveyancing process. I don't think i can say their name on the forum but they are based in Enderby Leciester.
  • I went for the solicitor nearest to my house and he's great. No waiting around for the post as we went into his office to sign the deeds.
He does everything incredibly quickly, none of that waiting around and only checking files once a week nonsense, and if I want to talk to him I just call him, email him, or go to the office and can speak to him straight away.

Is this PPL? I think you must be lucky, I've only heard absolutely awful things about them!
  • Another vote for someone as local as possible, preferably via a recommendation.

This is a snapshot of what the portal is like.
  • Looks nice, but still relies on the human being behind it doing the work and marking that the work is done...

Looks impressive and clear, my lot uses digital move, very clunky, they hardly update it, goes weeks without any input.
