Joe biden says he will encourage americans to have staycation holidays for the whole of 2021 .
This makes it highly unlikely that even in august onwards no aliens from his three main foreign tourist countries of uk , germany and brazil will be allowed entry .
He does not need the money from foreign travellers to boost his economy as we do .
bye bye disney .

So he's advising all Americans to have no overnight stays away from home.
The hotels will really appreciate him for that one.

I think the meaning of staycation has changed. It used to be ‘stay at home and take day trips’, now more usually ‘holiday in your home country’.https://www.holidaypirates.com/destinations/europe/united-kingdom
Although I don’t think US home tourists are going to make up for the lack of foreign visitors, so hotels may still struggle.1 -
The average American doesn't take foreign holidays anyway.
Personally (even though I've got a couple of foreign holidays pencilled in for 2021) I think foreign travel will be limited in 2021 & due to price increases caused by demand, 2022 will see a drop in pre 2020 levels.....if one of my trips gets cancelled, I don't plan on taking this particular trip until 2023 for that very reason

I wouldn't read too much into it. Americans do what they want0

Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando have been open for quite some time, although with reduced and limited gate admissions each day (reportedly actually reaching the new full capacity on some days).
I think alfmurph may have picked up on recent reports of the two Disneyland parks in California announcing reopening plans.0 -
I just know that my friend in north US who is a Disneyland adict has waved bye bye to a trip any time soon and she has all the inside info so far.She announced it just last week.

I can’t see people from UK being able to visit US this year. I’ve got a trip booked for September to Disney but very doubtful it will be going ahead.I’m sure people can cope without a holiday for another year.2

Events in Miami suggest that as in the UK. The message is still failing to sink in. Only winner is going to be Covid as it marches relentlessly on. Perhaps those that wish to party should holiday in Brazil.1
