I've never heard of anyone using that arrangement. Those agents are often instructed for two or three cases on the same day, not necessarily just parking cases, so it's just a day at the office for them.beamerguy said:The reason I ask what the legals charge is ... do they ever offer "a no win no fee" like the debt collectors do ?
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.4 -
To offer service on a no win no fee arrangement they'd need to have a good chance of winning.4

If the court allocate two hours it is about £250.00 plus VAT. It was £125.00 plus VAT per hour for the Claimant's rep at my hearing.
It seems as if there are more directions hearings now followed by a further hearing. Not sure how much the rep receives when it's just a short directions hearing. These directions hearings seem a waste of time in parking claims.

Don't know if you can use the legal insurance that is either part of the car insurance policy or an add on. I guess even if you could use it that it would send the premiums up. It's probably more for car accidents.henrik777 said:To offer service on a no win no fee arrangement they'd need to have a good chance of winning.

What on earth are they going to talk about for 2 hours ?
Take away the drivel copy and paste in these WS from the legals and you are left with just a few basics. Some judges dismiss these cases with 10 minutes ?
After all the abuse of process battles from these legals, we have seen many judges use other tools to dismiss these cases ... even though it is still abuse of process ?
Now a 2 hour stretch could make stupid claims no longer viable0 -

I have seen a number of cases that have been rescheduled for two hours. I've seen one listed for three hours. My case was rescheduled for two hours and was over in about fifteen minutes. The rep still gets the full two hours.
It's possible that the judges do this hoping that the parties will settle or the PPC will discontinue but we know this is unlikely.
I thought that Excel might have backed off in my case as the judge had told them to basically put up or shut up and allocated a further two hours for the rescheduled hearing. That was a further £250.00 plus VAT which the rep tried to claim
.
So that was three hours in total allocated to my hearing. The first rep still got paid even though the hearing was rescheduled.

I don't think legal assistance is asked about at renewal time ? Only accidents and claims on motor insurance (can be house insurance too). Using the legal protection doesn't mean you are more of a risk for accidents ?Snakes_Belly said:
