I'm surprised the claimant's rep didn't mention law of agency!1

Thanks for feeding us some much needed red meat!
Well done BT. Any costs awarded? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I think you got away with a lucky win there. A limited company can be held liable as keeper, they don't need to be able to drive.
If the Claimants had any sense, they should have ignored POFA and claimed on the basis of Employers' Vicarious Liability, as in CPS v AJH Films.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.6 -

As a solicitors agent they will just pick up cases that are sent to them as they cover a standard area and will probably take most type of cases. They get paid to do a job and thats it really.1 -
Well done BrownTrout.

A nice day for a walk on the beach as well.

It's normally around £100 - £130.BrownTrout said:No idea what agents charge @bargepole might know
And a Face To Face hearing for a parking case??? That's virtually unheard of these days.

Yes i asked why they were not using CVP. The usher said they were implementing it next week. Think maybe because held at family court so maybe less need as these maybe more attended hearings (uneducated guess)bargepole said:

All three cases there today were listed F2F hearings

The reason I ask what the legals charge is ... do they ever offer "a no win no fee" like the debt collectors do ?1
