o2 Classic Sim card - unable to top up
I bought one of these from ebay, and cannot top it up using my debit card, get either unsuccessful or contact your bank, checked with bank there is no problem. Spoke to several o2 customer service staff, who are worse than useless, gave no help at all, suggested I buy a voucher and top up (read online some people have had vouchers that don't work), so I asked what would happen if the voucher didn't work, they couldn't give me an answer! Have tried another phone and different bank cards, no luck.
Has anyone else had this problem and managed to resolve it? Any help greatly appreciated.

I've always bought a voucher and it's never failed, only did one last weekendI think from threads you do have to use voucher for Classic because on line throws you into bundles and not recognisedYou do have to be careful typing the voucher number in of course, I always sit down at a table & take my time, it would help if phone was on speaker because it is a menu driven press 1 etcEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

I have a O2 classic 321p sim-card which i topped-up Wednesday with my debit card and it went though fine i have had it a long time from the start of the classic 321p
If you have just bought the sim-card may be its not working because the classic 321p doesn't excise anymore.
O2 stopped it last year and you cannot buy classic sims from O2 may be thats the problem.
I think if i let the money run out on my sim it will go to the new tariff.
Only a guess from me because i have heard some people say they have bought the classic sims off of eBay and they have worked so it could be hit and miss.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.1 -

I think they pulled it because they wasn't making enough money off of the classic 321p.
Even 3 has done away with there 321p.
The next best Payg provider is 1p mobile but you have to top-up every 3mths afaik or you loose the sim.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.1 -
Thanks for all comments, I took a gamble and bought a voucher and managed to top up with that, so at least I can use it until they stop this. It does appear to be hit and miss how you can top up. Pity their customer services were not more helpful.1
