in Water bills
I have received my new annual water bill.
I have been receiving water bill's since 2002 but I wasn't aware that the water provider did not charge for sewerage. The water bill tells me that I will get a sewerage bill from another company but I haven't. Am I liable for 19 years of sewerage Bill's?

We are connected to the main sewer. As my previous houses only had one bill which obviously included charges for water and sewerage I hadn't noticed that I should have had two bills.0

If you are in the area of a water supply only company, the water company normally bill both water and sewage then pass the sewage component onwards.
The water company is correct that they don't charge for sewage. They are merely collecting the funds as a billing service but don't influence the amount of the bill, which they could if they were the ones charging you.
Who is your water company?

They can only go back 6 years.

Watford: Colne Valley Water & Thames Sewerage: One bill for both as you say.
Lowestoft: Essex and Suffolk Water & Anglian Sewerage: Separate Bills and accounts needed with each utility.
The water company names may well have changed since I lived in Watford0 -
