How much is Council Band B in your area?

I was just reading the online comments underneath the article about the rising council tax on the Grimsby Telegraph's Facebook page (North East Lincolnshire) and someone has added a link to find out council tax rates for London.  Here in Grimsby, for 2020/2021 band B was £1484.42 for the year (that's what I paid) but for Kensington & Chelsea band B was £961.98, Westminster was £606.89 and City of London was £783.37.
I'm sure North East Lincolnshire aren't the highest but I also wonder why parts of London are so low?
May I ask what council tax B was for 2020/2021 where you live?

I expect much of it is because of fewer public services actually being needed vs. those who can afford to pay the tax. Also economies of scale may come into it - some things are going to be cheaper to provide in a compact urban area rather than somewhere with large rural hinterland.

£1028.90 here in N Scotland but they do screw us over with higher multipliers on band E and above to keep the lower bands cheaper.

I was just popping back to say that!

I can't imagine there were many properties in Westminster valued at £40,001 to £52,000 even in 1991

  • £1486 for south glos but I think there is some variation depending just where you live as my parents isn't the same as mine
