Amex BA Premium Plus sign up bonus convert to Nectar Points

I have a BA Exec Club account with AVIOS points in it and I have linked it with my Nectar card - no problem,  BUT  firstly it is just about impossible to find on the BA website the relevant pages - it is pure luck if you do and secondly if you do find it they will NOT let you convert AVIOS to Nectar only the other way round.   No idea why this is but I have tried twice without success so far.

It was already working on the site as soon as it launched. You had to find it but it was there.

Now you can use it to convert Nectar > Avios
but if you want Avios > Nectar you have to call them.

Seems to me they really don’t want people swapping for Nectar points, as they don’t make it easy to find and now you have to telephone.

Hmm. I think I’ll let this plan sit for a while. Need to wait a few months anyway until I can guarantee I’ll be spending £3000 within 3 months. Usually happens around September when the car needs insurance, MOT, service and tyres additionally this year

I called on the 17th to arrange transfer of my Avios to Nectar. They said it could take up to 10 working days. Nothing in my Nectar account as yet.

Hmm. I think I’ll let this plan sit for a while. Need to wait a few months anyway until I can guarantee I’ll be spending £3000 within 3 months. Usually happens around September when the car needs insurance, MOT, service and tyres additionally this year 

Consider that it would be very difficult in my experience using Amex on Insurance (only managed once) but more importantly with a garage /dealership

I'm with Admiral (as long as they're the cheapest) who accept Amex and the local BMW accept Amex where I get servicing & MOT
