Due to exchange today, I have already emailed on Wednesday my permission to exchange with completion on 5th March. I was told to phone them also my wife had to speak to them. I Phoned them and told them my permission to exchange my wife did the same.
Will they phone again today before exchange and need both of our permission?
My wife will be working and she doesn’t take her mobile with her, will this cause delay?

It shouldn't but only your solicitor knows.

We already phoned on Wednesday morning to give our permission to exchange. Do solicitors ring their clients just before exchange just in case they changed their mind?

Just do a recording of your wife and play it over the phone if needed

Check with your solicitor. I had a few false starts and my solicitor asked permission each day I was due to exchange. I was able to do it via email.

Yes, they need your authority "on the day", so if they intend to exchange today they will need your authority today.  As it's Friday, completions will probably take until 3pm before they start on exchanges.

I'm finally near to an exhausting sale and purchase. My buyer was going to transfer deposit money yesterday but unfortunately didn’t and also failed today. According to the EA he wants to complete on 5 th March, we prefer 12th March. I have agreed to go for the 5 th March so we can get to exchange.
The EA reckons he wants to transfer the deposit in ready for exchange tomorrow. I have put lot of effort to get this far, his he just messing about?

The most confusing thing about this thread is that your initial post and subsequent pages was about your buyer not sending their deposit seemingly holding things up in the chain.

Then once they do you raise the point that you haven't paid yours (or more so what you believed you needed to pay).

Hopefully this all works out just fine and you can all buy/sell. It would be unfortunate if you had to find somewhere to stay between selling and buying especially if your purchase is already vacant.

Just phoned them, gave them my permission and my wife also gave hers. They said have to ring everyday if exchange doesn’t take place. I was just going to leave it has i already gave my permission on Wednesday morning by email and then phone.
On my previous purchase didn’t have to phone them at all, just email nor did they need my wife’s permission. I won’t be using this lot again...

My solicitor hasn’t requested deposit from me so I’m bit confused. Someone on the forum solicitor used the buyers deposit and probably negotiated that will be ok with my sellers solicitor. My solicitors has not being very good by wasting time, this should have been done at least few weeks earlier. Very disappointed with them.

Have you asked them whether they want it?
You seem to be very active in wanting your buyer to do things but lackadaisical in some of the things that you should be doing.
Get YOUR house in order and then you can complain about your buyer.

NO, I haven’t ask my solicitors, surely it’s their job to ask for my deposit. I emailed  him if there was any outstanding issues before we go to exchange and he said no issues.
